Big Daddy's Drunken Meatballs

Ingredients:
  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, grated
  • 1 clove finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmeasan cheese
  • dash hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (14 oz.) bottle Heinz ketchup
  • 1 (12 oz.) beer (not light beer)

Preparation:

In a large bowl, combine beef, onion, garlic, cheese, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Form mixture into golf ball size meatballs. In medium pot, combine water, ketchup and beer. Bring to a boil. Carefully add meatballs and reduce heat to simmer uncovered. Cook, stirring often, for 1 hour or until desired doneness. Meatballs may be cooked in a crockpot.
