Sausage Balls

Ingredients:
  • 1 lbs lean sausage, any style preferred
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups biscuit mix

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine uncooked sausage and cheese; add biscuit mix and mix thoroughly. Shape into 1-inch balls and place about 1 1/2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes or until browned. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Makes about 80 sausage balls. To freeze, Freeze unbaked sausage balls in single layer on baking sheets. When frozen remove from pans and store in plastic zip-lock style freezer bags. Thaw 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature, then bake as above.
