Little Sherry Bbq Loaves

Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 (8 oz. ) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 3/4 sherry or wine
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 beef bouillon cube

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°. With fork slightly beat egg; add meat, onion, salt, pepper 1/2 can of tomato sauce and bead crumbs. Combine lightly, but well. Shape into oval loaves and place in a shallow baking dish. Bake 40 minutes. Pour off most of the grease. Meanwhile, stir the cornstarch with the brown sugar. Stir in the rest of the tomato sauces, wine vinegar, mustard, beef cube and water. Cook stirring until thickened. Pour over meat loaves. Bake, basting often for 30 minutes.
