Italian Beef Brisket

Ingredients:
  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (4-5 lbs) beef brisket
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 cans Contadina Italian sauce

Preparation:

In baking pan, place onion and celery. Place meat on top and sprinkle meat with onion soup mix. Add the 2 cans of sauce, along with 1/2 can of water, to the pan. (Not over the meat.) Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350° F for 3 hours.

Remove foil, baste meat with gravy and bake for another 1/2 hour, uncovered.
