Hamburger Steak With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lbs round steak
  • 1 or 2 eggs
  • 1 cup cracker meal or bread crumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 sm. onion, finely chopped
  • milk
  • 1 can tomato soup

Preparation:

Put steak through the meat grinder, add the eggs, cracker meal or bread crumbs, salt, pepper, finely chopped onion , milk to moisten and mix thoroughly. Form into small cakes. Cook slowly in a small quantity of hot fat. When steak is cooked, empty tomato soup in frying pan and when boiling, pour over steak and serve at once.
