Marinated Country Fried Steak

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless round steak
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • All-purpose flour
  • Hot vegetable oil

Preparation:

Trim excess fat from steak; lbs with a meat mallet. Cut steak into serving-size pieces; place in a shallow dish and sprinkle with garlic powder. Pour soy sauce over steak; cover and marinate 6 hours or overnight. Drain. Dredge steak in flour; brown on both sides in hot oil over low heat. Yield: about 6 servings.
