Agnes Johnson's Sugarless Cake

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 eggs; separated
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 1/4 cups cake flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation:

Cream butter. Add syrup gradually, then add egg yolks. Sift flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk. Beat egg whites stiff but not dry. Pour into pan and bake 45 minutes at 350° F. Serve with whipping cream. Very Good.
