Red Velvet Cake #1

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup Wesson oil
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, Jumbo size
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup self rising flour
  • 2-1 oz. red food coloring

Preparation:

Beat eggs one at a time until blended. Sift together flour and soda. Add to the egg mixture alternating with the buttermilk.

Blend well, add vanilla and food coloring. Use 3 cake pans and bake at 325° F or 25 minutes or 1 sheet cake pan and bake at 325° F or 45 minutes.
