Red Velvet Cake #5

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa
  • 1 - 2 oz. bottle red food coloring
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Preparation:

Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add baking soda salt, vinegar, cocoa, food coloring and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Add flour alternately with buttermilk. Pour into 3 - 8 inch well-greased cake pans. Bake at 350° F for 30 minutes or until done. Frost with white icing.
