Italian Mushroom Skillet

Ingredients:
  • 1 Pound ground beef
  • 1 Medium onion - chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms - sliced
  • 2 Cloves garlic - finely chopped
  • 14 oz. pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked medium pasta shells
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 cup Italian style four cheese combination - shredded or Monterey Jack Cheese

Preparation:

Cook ground beef, onion, mushrooms and garlic in 12" skillet over med. heat, stirring frequently, until beef is brown and vegetables are tender; drain.

Stir in pizza sauce, pasta, water, sugar and Italian seasoning. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.

Cover and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Cover and simmer about 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
