Black Bean Chili Marsala

Ingredients:
  • 1 Large Onion, Chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 1/2 lbs Boneless Beef Chuck Roast, Trimmed and Chopped
  • 1 Can - 29 oz. Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Can - 6 oz. Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Marsala Wine
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 or 3 Cans - 4 oz. each Sliced Mushrooms, Drained
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp Seasoned Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Pepper
  • 2 to 4 Cans - 15 oz. each Black Beans
  • Hot Cooked Rice

Preparation:

Cook onion and garlic in oil in a dutch oven until tender. Add chopped roast, tomato sauce, tomato paste, wine, water, mushrooms, chili powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add beans and cook until thoroughly heated. Serve over rice.
