Cheese Pennies

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch Cayenne powder
  • 6 Tbsp Butter; cut into smallpieces
  • 3/4 cup Grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup Beer or water
  • 3/4 cup Poppy or caraway seeds

Preparation:

Combine flour, salt, paprika, cayenne, and cheese. Add butter. Mix well. Add beer and blend until it reaches an oatmeal consistency.

Roll onto a pan and shape into a roll 1 in diameter. Wrap and freeze for 1 hour.

Slice into rounds 1/8 thick, sprinkle with seeds and press with fork lightly.

Bake at 450° F for 12 minutes.
