Buttered Carrots and Celery

Ingredients:
  • 5 medium carrots, scraped and cut into julienne strips
  • 4 celery ribs, cut into julienne strips
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted

Preparation:

Combine first 7 ingredients in a 2-quart baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° F for 45 minutes; drain.

Add 2 Tbsp butter, tossing to coat.

Makes: 6 to 8
