Barbecued Beef

  • 1 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon style mustard
  • 2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke flavor
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 lbs boneless chuck roast image placeholder

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Place chuck roast in a slow cooker. Pour mixture over roast. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Remove roast from slow cooker, shred with a fork, and return to slow cooker. Stir meat to evenly coat with sauce.
