Angel Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 5 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp warm water
  • 2 cup buttermilk

Preparation:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add buttermilk, shortening and dry ingredients. Mix well. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick. Cut out with biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter and fold over to make pocket rolls.

Can be stored in refrigerator to be baked later. Bake at 400° F or 15 minutes.
