Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Cut in shortening into flour mixture. Stir in yeast mixture until completely moistened.
Add buttermilk. Mix well and place in airtight container. Place in refrigerator overnight. Take out as much as needed.
Roll out on floured surface 1/2 to 3/4-inches thick. Cut into biscuits and place on cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes in a 400° F oven.Servings:
