Baking Powder Biscuits
- 2 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup crisco
- 3/4 cup milk (1 cup buttermilk may be substituted for milk, but also add 1/2 tsp baking soda)
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, soda (if needed) into medium sized bowl.
Cut in crisco using fork or knife.
Stir in milk (buttermilk).
Knead on lightly floured surface.
Roll to desired thickness and cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 450° F for 15 minutes.Servings:
