Butter Bean Cassoulet


  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • Garlic - to taste
  • 3 cans of butter beans, mostly drained
  • 1/2 roll GIMME LEAN sausage flavor
  • 2 or 3 small cans tomato sauce or 1 lg can tomato juice
  • 1 cup frozen corn


Sauté the onions, pepper, garlic, and GIMME LEAN. I like to use oregano, fennel seed, thyme, and sage as seasoning. Dump in beans and tomato sauce, simmer. Eat.

NOTE I like to use butter beans for this recipe, but limas would work as well...
