Brown Sugar Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preparation:

Place butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Slowly add milk, and boil for 2 more minutes. Cool.

Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Makes about 3 cups frosting
