Burnt Sugar Frosting

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation:

(Cook in the pan you have burnt the sugar for the cake.) Boil sugar, cream and syrup to soft ball stage.

Let cool for a few minutes. Add vanilla and salt and beat until thick and creamy and of a spreading consistency.
