Five Spices Marinade for BBQ Spareribs

Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup minced green onions
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp chili oil
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp five-spice powder
  • 1 clove garlic

Preparation:

Cut a garlic clove in two; rub its cut surfaces over the spareribs.

Rub Five Spices over the meat. Let stand 1 hour; then roast. NOTE: Allow about 1/2 teaspoon Five Spices per pound of meat.
