Black-Eyed Peas Recipe #2

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. peas
  • 5 oz. diced celery
  • 5 oz. diced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground comino seed
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 3 1/4 tsp season oil
  • 1/5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • pinch of MSG (optional)

Preparation:

Soak peas overnight, drain and add celery, red and green bell peppers, black pepper, salt, comino seed, garlic powder, margarine, season oil, cayenne pepper and MSG.

Cover with water and simmer in covered stock pot for two hours.
