Black Eyed Peas With Turnip Greens

Ingredients:

  • 4 pkg. - 10 oz. black eyed peas, frozen or canned
  • 2 pkg. - 10 oz. turnip greens, frozen or canned
  • 1/3 lbs bacon
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 lbs butter
  • 1/2 cup honey

Preparation:

Fry pork slowly until very crisp. Bake the black eyed peas, greens and remaining ingredients in the the bacon grease in an earthenware pot at 350° until tender. Add the crumbled bacon.
