Place walnuts on small baking sheet and bake at 350° F for 6-8 minutes or until toasted.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the rice and stir. Add broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low, cover, and simmer until liquid absorbs, about 7-8 minutes.
Place broccoli in a microwave safe casserole dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover and cook on high power for 5-7 minutes or until tender. Spoon rice onto a serving platter. Top with broccoli. Sprinkle walnuts over broccoli and top with cheese.Servings: 4
