Buttermilk Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs, beaten separately
  • 1 quart flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • lard, size of an egg
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 yeast cake in one Tbsp of warm water
  • buttermilk to make soft sponge

Preparation:

When risen light, work out adding 1 tsp of soda for each quart of flour.

Make into thick rolls, thin one on top of another or splits.
