Caramel Pecan Rolls
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 cup lukewarm water
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 1/4 cup lukewarm milk
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 cup flour (or more to make easy to handle soft dough)
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Beat egg; add to milk.
Combine these together. Add butter, sugar, salt and flour. Beat well and knead. Let rise until doubled.
Mix topping while dough is rising. Roll out dough on floured surface 12 x 15-inch.
Brush with 2 Tbsp butter and a mixture of 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Roll starting on the 15 " side.
Cut 1 - 1 1/2" thick, put in pan on top of pecan mixture. Let rise until doubled.
Bake at 375° F for 20 - 25 minutes.
Let stand 3 minutes and turn out onto plate.Servings: 1 dozen
