Salsa Colorado

Ingredients:

  • 1 16-oz. can tomato purée
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 7-oz. can chipotle peppers
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.

Pureé in a blender container or food processor bowl.
