Cowboy Beans Recipe #2
- 3 lbs ground beef, browned
- 1 lbs bacon, fried and broken
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 med. onions, chopped
- 4 cans pork & beans
- 2 cans butter beans drained
- 2 cans kidney beans, drained
- 2 cans norther beans
- 3/4 cup vinegar
Brown bacon. Drain on paper towel.
Remove bacon drippings from skillet and brown hamburger. Drain. Sauté onion for 2 minutes.
Combine all ingredients in a large granite roaster.
Mix well. Bake 2 hours at 325° F.
For a real western meal, serve with cornbread, carrots and celery sticks, and a jello salad. All cowboys and "wanna bes" love this meal!Servings: 4
