Baked Beef Stew

  • 1 1/2 lbs stew meat
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 cup mushroom soup
  • 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 4 medium size potatoes, quartered image placeholder

In frying pan, brown meat in oil; drain off excess fat Add soup and soup mix, simmer covered for 5 minutes. Place potatoes in bottom of casserole dish. Top with meat mixture.

Bake at 350° F until meat and potatoes are tender. Stir a couple of times while baking. Salt and pepper to taste.
