Meatballs Ala Andrea

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 med. onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can tomato puree (prefer Hunts)
  • 1 can tomato paste (prefer Hunts)
  • 1 lbs hamburger meat (ground chuck or round)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt & 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp pepper & 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning (McCormick)
  • 1/4 onion chopped

Preparation:

In a medium bowl, mix ground meat, bread crumbs, egg, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, chopped onion, and 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning until all ingredients are mixed well and is moist.

Meanwhile heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a medium skilleTbsp After rolling meat mixture into meatballs, place in skillet. Brown meatballs on all sides. Take care not to burn. When they are completely browned, remove one at a time, draining off all grease and place into sauce, cover again. Cook until meatballs are completely cooked. Serve over spaghetti first then pour sauce over dish.
