Preheat oven to 375° F. Melt butter in saucepan. Add soup and cream cheese stirring constantly over low heat until melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir into beans, onion flakes, spices and Cheddar cheese. Pour into greased 2-qt. casserole. Top with almonds (or fried onions) and bake for 45 minutes.
