Chili

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 36 oz. can kidney beans
  • 32 oz. tomatoes (cut or whole)
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or chopped
  • 1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder, (or more to taste)
  • 2 tsp salt

Preparation:

In a dutch oven or cooking pot, cook beef, celery, peppers, and onion until meat is brown and vegetables are tender. Add kidney beans, tomatoes (if whole, break up with fork while simmering), garlic, tomato paste, chili powder, and salt. Simmer for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
