Chile Con Queso Dip

Ingredients:
  • 1 lbs Velveeta Cheese (plain or Mexican), chopped in cubes
  • 1 - 16 oz. can stewed tomatoes (plain or flavored), drained
  • 2 - 4.5 oz. chopped green chilies, mild to hot (Ortega or El Paso brands)
  • Powdered or minced onions (to taste)
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)

Preparation:

Mix Velveeta cheese, stewed tomatoes, green chilies, onions and garlic powder together in a large dish and heat slowly until cheese is melted. Stir frequently during melting process.

You can also mix ingredients in a microwave-safe dish and melt cheese in 1 to 2-minute increments, stirring the ingredients between melting periods.

Serve with your favorite chips for dipping.
