Tex-mex Taco Dip

Ingredients:
  • 2 cans bean dip or
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 3 avocados, smashed
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 1 bunch green onion, chopped
  • 1 - 2 sm. cans sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 - 2 tomatoes, cubed
  • large taco chips

Preparation:

Spread bean dip on large round tray or plate. Mix smashed avocados with lemon juice, salt and pepper (or you can use frozen guacamole dip if available).

Spread over bean dip. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning and spread on top of avocado mix.

Sprinkle chopped onions over this; follow with the olives, cheese and tomatoes.

Serve with taco chips.
