Pickled Beets and Eggs

Ingredients:
  • 1 can beets - 1 lbs sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/16 tsp garlic salt

Preparation:

Drain the beets. Reserve the juice into a 1 quart sauce pan. Mix the sugar and 1/4 cup juice, vinegar, salt, and spices. Stir over low heat hunt sugar dissolves. Place beets in a 1 quart jar. Pour liquid over them and and the hard boiled eggs. Cover and refrigerate over night.
