Lamb Loin Chops with Turkish Yogurt Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. Plain yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 2 cl Garlic; minced
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh mint; chopped
  • 1 tsp Lemon peel; grated
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 8 Lamb loin chops; 1 1/4-inch thick, (about 5 oz. each)

Preparation:

In a bowl stir together yogurt, cinnamon, allspice, salt and cayenne. Add garlic, mint, lemon peel and honey and blend well. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours.

Trim lamb chops. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 5 to 6 minutes on each side, to medium doneness.

Pour yogurt sauce evenly over all.
