Mrs. Fields' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 1/2 cups Oatmeal*
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 12 oz Chocolate Chips
  • 8 oz Hershey Bar, grated
  • 1 1/2 cups Nuts (Pecans or Walnuts), chopped

Preparation:

Cream together butter and the 2 sugars. Add the 4 eggs and vanilla.

Mix together flour, oatmeal*, salt baking sada and baking powder. Mix all ingredients together and add chocolate chips, hershey bar and chopped nuts.

Make golf-ball size cookies, spaced 2 inches apart.

Bake at 375° F on ungreased cookie sheets for 6 minutes or until golden. (Do Not Burn).

Makes: 3 Dozen
