Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix the sugar, oil, eggs, salt, and soda and add the yeast mixture. Slowly add milk, being careful not to kill the yeast.
Mix all well and add the flour. Mix again and in a large bowl let stand until it rises, overnight is alrighTbsp When ready, dump dough out on floured board and divide in half.
Roll out as for a pie, 1/2-inch thick, cut in wedges and roll from the thick to thin end.
Repeat with other half. Place on greased pans to rise again. Cook in 350° F for 10 to 12 minutes.
