Preheat oven to 350° F .
Place onion and bacon in 2-quart ovenproof casserole.
Combine beans and mustard. Add salt and black ground pepper to taste; transfer to casserole.
Add molasses, coffee and boiling water together and pour over beans.
Bake uncovered for 60 to 70 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Stir and serve.
