Puerto Rico Red Kidney Beans

Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2/3 cup Polska kielbasa or ham, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves, garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • dash of cumin
  • dash of black pepper
  • dash of salt
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. Sazon' Goya con culantro y achiote
  • 2 cans red kidney beans (Goya)
  • 2/3 cup water

Preparation:

Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add kielbasa or ham, onion, pepper, garlic, cilantro, oregano, basil, dash of cumin, black pepper, and salt.

Add tomato sauce and Sazon' seasoning; cook for 5 minutes. Add beans and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes; stir occassionally. Serve over hot white rice.
