Spicy Black Beans Recipe #2

Ingredients:
  • 2 - 15 oz. cans black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 celery stalk, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño chile, seeded and minced
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne

Preparation:

In large skillet sauté bacon; stir in garlic, celery, bell pepper, onion and jalapeño. Cook, stirring, over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

Stir in remaining seasonings, cook and stir 1 minute; add beans and stir all together. Heat beans through.
