Sausage Smothered In Red Cabbage

Ingredients:
  • 1 head red cabbage, chopped
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 sm onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp wine vinegar
  • 1 polish sausage

Preparation:

Place cabbage in large pot with apple, salt, lemon juice, and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Heat butter in a skillet; sauté onion.

Add cabbage mixture along with salt, pepper, vinegar and sausage. Heat through and serve.
