Sausage Gravy

Ingredients:
  • 1 lbs mild bulk pork sausage
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 to 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Preparation:

Cook sausage in large heavy skillet until browned, stirring to crumble. Remove from skillet and drain well. Reserve 2 Tbsp drippings in skillet.

Add flour to drippings, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until smooth and the desired thickness.

Stir in pepper and sausage. Cook until hot, stirring constantly. Serve over split biscuits.
