Medium White Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk

Preparation:

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and a dash of pepper until there are no lumps. Add milk all at once.

Cook quickly, stirring constantly till mixture thickens and bubbles.

To make a cheese sauce add 1 cup of your favorite cheese, shredded or diced. Let cheese melt and blend into the white sauce.

Yields: 1 cup
